Wrestlemania Women’s Battle Royal

This match has the weirdest intro. Becky Lynch gets her normal entrance, then every other woman in the match comes out together to the Wrestlemania theme song.  This is after Lillian announces Beth as a special guest commentator and doesn’t do it for Paige.  Then Bayley gets her entrance, then we get the promo video from Paige’s movie.  We come back as Sasha gets her full entrance, and we’re off.  Carmella parades around with her briefcase, and everyone jumps her, stomps her out gangland style, and eliminate her.  Now Dana Brooke gets caught in the middle of the beating circle, and she gets worked over and thrown out.  Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose celebrate eliminating her, and now everyone breaks out in THE most vicious streetfight you’ve ever seen.  The NXT ladies clear several of the women out, then Becky yells at the lady in all orange whose name escapes me for wearing her color.  Bianca Belair goes to the top rope and hits a 450 splash on Sonya Deville, and she gets tossed.  It’s shaping up to be NXT women vs main roster women as we go to commercial.

We’re back as Kairi Sane goes out, and there goes Lana and Orange Lady as well.  The Riott Squad is doing very well for themselves in there, eliminating a blond wrestler I didn’t recognize but was probably in the Mae Young Classic.  Bianca whips Becky across the back with her hair, but Becky tosses her to the apron and kicks her out before eating a Yakuza Kick from Dakota Kai.  Kai with another one for Naomi, but misses a third on Sasha and gets dumped to the floor.  Becky and Naomi both appear to have been eliminated as Micke fights off the entire Riott Squad.  Mickie goes to the top and Ruby Riott knocks her out.  Peyton Royce tries to toss Sarah Logan, but Liv and Ruby get rid of her, and we’re down to the Riott Squad, Natalya, Bayley, and Sasha.  Nattie suplexes Ruby and Logan, but Sasha and Bayley double team Nattie and toss her out.  They toss Morgan next, then Ruby, then Sarah Logan picks Sasha up, but Bayley knocks her to the floor, and we’re down to Sasha and Bayley.  Sasha goes for a handshake, and Bayley takes it…and tosses Sasha to the floor.  Wait, looks like Naomi was never eliminated after all, so she’s back in.  Naomi with a flying butt butt and then tosses Bayley, and Naomi is our winner!

Winner: Naomi

Raw Women’s Title Elimination Match: Bayley vs Nia Jax vs Charlotte Flair vs Sasha Banks

All three opponents rush Nia at the bell, but Nia fights them all off, laying all three girls out with a triple clothesline.  Charlotte unlods on Nia with chops, Nia whips her to the corner and she does the Flair flip, but Nia tosses her off the apron on top of both Bayley and Sasha.  Bayley and Sasha are up on the apron, Charlotte joins them, and they all come in together to surround Nia.  Sasha takes Nia’s leg while Charlotte and Bayley zip in with shots on Nia.  Sasha and Bayley get ahold of Nia and Charlotte big boots Nia into a back suplex and covers for 2.  Nia swats Bayley to the floor and nails Sasha, then turns her attention back to Charlotte.  Nia goes up for a Banzai drop on Charlotte, but Sasha and Bayley run in and they triple powerbomb Nia and pin her.

Nia Jax is eliminated.

Well, that’s a relief for the other girls!  Charlotte goes for a high five, but Sasha and Bayley aren’t having it, so Charlotte slides out to the floor and tells Sasha and Bayley to fight instead.  So they do…and Charlotte drags Bayley to the floor and lays out some shots, then Sasha comes over the top rope with a dive that wipes Bayley out.  Now Charlotte goes to the top rope and does a corkscrew moonsault onto both girls.  Unbelievable.  Charlotte brings Sasha in and goes for Natural Selection, Sasha counters to the Bank Statement, Charlotte gets out and hits an STO for 2.  Charlotte pulls a middle turnbuckle off, but Sasha comes in from behind and rolls her up for 2.  Sasha with a HUGE chop, a flying headscissors, a charging double knee in the corner, then she goes to the top and hits Meteora for 2.  Back to the Bank Statement, but Charlotte’s body is too long to hang onto and she slips free.  Sasha gets an O’Connor Roll, Charlotte kicks Sasha off into the exposed turnbuckle and covers her for 3.

Sasha Banks is eliminated.

We’re down to Charlotte and Bayley, and Charlotte quickly kicks out Bayley’s knee and then runs her knee-first into the exposed turnbuckle.  Charlotte goes to the top rope for a moonsault, Bayley moves out of the way and covers for 2.  Bayley tries a Thesz press off the top, but Charlotte catches her coming down and gets the figure four, but Bayley makes the ropes before Charlotte can lock in the figure eight.  Charlotte continues working the knee over and hangs Bayley in the Tree of Woe.  Charlotte climbs the corner on top of Bayley, Bayley fights her back and hits a spider suplex.  Charlotte charges in, but Bayley sits up and now Charlotte runs into the exposed turnbuckle.  Bayley is on top and comes off with an elbowdrop, and she covers Charlotte for the win.

Winner: Bayley

Divas Champion Charlotte vs. Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks (Triple Threat Match)
Shawn Michaels: Because Naitch is in her corner and I don’t think he’s going to allow his daughter to lose at WrestleMania, I’m going with Charlotte. He’ll pull out all the stops to make sure Charlotte walks out with the gold, because gold is clearly pretty darn important in that family. WINNER: Charlotte

Mick Foley: I really am a huge fan of these women, and watching Becky and Sasha is as close as I get to watching my own kids play soccer or basketball. It’ll be a nail-biter for sure, but I just have this image of The Boss with the championship held aloft in front of a sea of WWE fans in Dallas. WINNER: Sasha Banks

Edge: This is the second toughest match of the night to call. My gut says Becky. My mind says Sasha. Either way, someone walks out as the new champion. WINNER: n/a

Charlotte: 1, Sasha Banks: 1

Divas Champion Charlotte vs. Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks (Triple Threat Match)

Which revolutionary will surge past her competition in her WrestleMania debut?

Last July, Charlotte, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch sparked a revolution. Arriving to WWE at the exact same moment, the three NXT alumnae immediately dug in their heels and put the Divas division’s old guard on notice: Change had arrived.

Months removed from their historic debuts, the significance of the uprising is more obvious than ever, as Charlotte — now the reigning Divas Champion — gets set to defend the title against The Boss and The Irish Lass Kicker in a Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania. The match was made official on March 3 after a No. 1 Contender’s Rematch between Becky and Sasha on SmackDown ended in controversy, thanks to interference by Charlotte.

Regardless of what Charlotte’s intentions were, her actions resulted in her now having to face not one, but two challengers on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

On-off rivals and teammates since their earliest days in NXT, all three Divas have been linked together since the start. Yet, each brings a unique fighting style and distinct motivation to WrestleMania’s Divas Championship Match.
